As younger woman I attended Ryerson University as a student of the Arts starting with Interior Design. I was always interested in creating artwork and did so as a secondary career for many years. However, Art has now become my primary focus. I have been on a creative journey of experimentation which has now lead me to this style I'll call Scribble Art. My inspiration comes from wanting to capture the expressions of people and animals in such a way to draw you into your own imagination.
My work is heavily influenced by capturing the eyes of my subjects, the windows to the souls, and leaving just enough to the imagination. I am particularly drawn to just a splash of colours and unique expression, which are often reflected in my pieces.
I am a firm believer in the power of experimentation and play in the artistic process. I often incorporate unconventional materials and techniques into my work, which allows me to explore new ideas and push the boundaries of my craft.
A very happy customer after personally delivering her picture. Thank you Melanie at The Happy Cookie Company, Oshawa Centre
I will also be at Camp Samac, Oshawa for the Oshawa Art Association Spring Festival for the weekend of April 13/14. Over 50 Artisans will be attending.
